Cruising to Capri, Italy - Skywatch Friday

The Isle of Capri is located off Naples, Italy. It is a marvelous place to visit for the day. Be sure to bring your comfortable walking shoes as it is quite hilly. You travel from the harbor at Naples via boat and I recommend you sit towards the center as the ride can be quite choppy and lead to sea-sickness. I did ok coming and going and was thankful for that. I had planned to do the grotto tour but the sea was too choppy that day. You can see that we went out in the motor boat to the cave area and how the wind was whipping the waves about in a couple of the photographs. Enjoy.

Be sure to check out Sky Watchers from all over the world at SkyWatch Friday.

Erin, your photos are wonderful and bring back my memories of 1987! We were with a tour but could split up once on the island. I just loved walking through the little town and up high above the most beautifully blue/green sea I've ever seen! It was calm and warm that day, too...so it was wonderful, and not bad on the ferry, either. I'm sure your trip was fabulous!!!

A snazzy boat in the first pic. Capri looks to be a very scenic location. Photos excellent as per usual. I especially liked the second and the third shot very much even if they are all great.

Oh Erin, these are exquisite ... print them on canvas paper and they'll look like paintings!

I love boat rides! My grandfather was a sea captain and when I was a kid, we used to go with him fishing mackerel in the sea... Lovely pictures you shared, Erin!

More beautiful shots, like the ones above. I love that they look like paintings. Some of these would make beautiful puzzles that I'd buy in a hot sec. :-)
