Fence Against the Sky - Orvieto, Italy-Skywatch Friday

This was taken near the Fortezza dell'Albornoz in Orvieto, Italy in February this year. I love the wrought iron fencing against the blue sky and cloud background; it definitely highlights the stunning sky from this hilltop perch.

Be sure to check out Sky Watchers from all over the world at SkyWatch Friday. This meme is hosted by: Klaus | Sandy | Ivar | Wren | Fishing Guy| Louise who do a fab job. We had over 300 participants in Sky Watch last week.

You are a fantastic photographer Erin. Your frame is always clear and the colour is well-defined. Lovely white pristine clouds in your blue Italian sky. Boun giorno!

It's beautiful, and I like the way the railing seems to be pointing at the clouds in that lovely sky.

Beautiful shot through the railing! I did have a wonderful time in Colorado. The mountains are gorgeous, but the visit with my son and his family was what made the trip. And for a bonus my daughters from Texas and Arizona were there too.

Beautiful image! :-)

I shall never forget that Sunday afternoon when I drove up the hill towards Orvieto, Beethoven's 7th playing, the sky so blue, and suddenly there was the big cathedral looming over the piazza.
