The colors are so summer beach cottage, don't you agree? The beautiful cloudless blue sky, the aging white paint on the 16 pane dormer window and, the worn and weathered green tin roof. And, check out the functional and decorative pieces at the end of the roofline and how they add a bit of whimsy to it all. To me they look like little bird wings. And you will of course notice that all lines are pointing upward, drawing our eyes to the sky.

What a charming shot of that beachy home! I love the colors, the weathering and the brilliant blue sky! Wonderful!
Beautiful ...
I agree. I love the colors!
Definitely! Yes, beautiful summer colors all the way.
Love that vivid blue sky! Gorgeous shot!
Happy SWF!
They do look like little bird wings. I was intrigued by them. The symmetry in the picture is pleasing. For a moment I imagined a little face pressed to the window, smiling.
This is a fantastic shot. It says beautiful summer day. I love it!
This beautiful photo is like a painting. The sky is unbelievably blue, without a cloud. Very beautiful! Thanks for your visit. The damage is not too bad and can be repaired, I hope.
The blues of summer are simply outstanding. I love how you play up the summer theme. Happy skywatching.
Beautiful colors and a wonderful picture.
I liked that simple composition - simple in the meaning that it is difficult :-)
For instance - not dead in the centre.
that is a wonderful photo, it shouts summer.

I love that roof and that sky! What a lovely shot, especially for summertime.
I just loved that roof, the lovely colour, as a perfect see...
Have a nice weekend, from Anne in Norway.
Great shot! I love old buildings. I was going to comment on the old copper roof but I don't know all that much about tin. I guess it ages that color too?
Nice house full of details and framing up your view of the summer sky.
Beautiful set of colors!
I captured similar blue and verdigris colors in Venice this past weekend.
That is a great shot, excellent composure, and it does instantly make me feel like a fun day on the beach, takes me back to trips to visit my Grandmother as a child.
I sure wish the sky was that blue here today! (It's raining...again!) Lovely blue!
My but that sky looks almost too blue to be real. Marvelous shot Erin.
Beautiful!!
Have a great weekend :)
Great composition. Love it.
Love the vivid colors! Definitely summery.
A beautiful shot. That roof contrasted against the blue sky-just perfect.
I love your photo and the description. It looks like the home is well cared for.
interesting shot...love it!
Great contrast in the picture, well done!!
Have a great SWF

I agree, Erin! Very beachy...I love blues, greens and white together, not to mention weathered paint and tin roofs. A very enchanting skywatch! :o)
Classic charm!!
I agree, can't help but follow the lines upward.
The color looks almost unreal. It is like a painting. Very beautiful.
Surprisingly different photo. I like it.
Summery scenes are reminding me holiday soon. True blue skies.
What a beautiful display of colors and lines. Just great!
Enjoy your weekend.
yes, all the colors are wonderful together!
Beautiful blue sky!
Have a nice weekend.
Erin - this picture says "heat" to me - especially the tin roof! Are those decorative items to stop snow in winter from cascading down in sheets? We use them in CO - but not as pretty!
Nice shot, very well framed. It does look like a beach home. I'm intrigued by the little bird wings, too.
Starkly beautiful!
Nice shot of the blue sky and old cottage!
Great photo! Beauty in simplicity...
Ah, another great photo! Thank you!
And thanks for your visit to my post also!
Wonderful shot! I love the simplicity of it.
Nice to capture the little room at the top of the roof. I wondered how the little room looked like from inside.
Yes, the colors are exactly the summer hues! What a perfect photo! Very nicely done.
Hugs♥
Great shot. You took what some may have considered ordinary and made beautiful.
I agree - the colours are fantastic. And your persepctive for this shot is great!
Janice.

That's a wonderful sky shot, very unique. And I really like the patina of the tin roof.
Love this sky watch pic. And, the ferris wheel pictures have me wanting to hit the state fair for sure this fall! Such information in your words. Please continue to be so thorough!
It's a beautiful one !
Summer blue---it just can't get better than that. MB
Erin: Yes, you made a neat capture of a clear sky over the blue roof.
Beautiful summer colors and an excellently composed photo!
Beautiful blue sky.
Happy Friday!

Absolutely gorgeous summery photo! One to look back at from the depths of winter.

Yours are just an absolute marvel to watch...wow
There was so many little details that I liked so much.
Just gorgeous!!!
So what is the purpose of those whimsical butterfly things on the roof?
~Lisa
WOW the colors are so crisp. What great shots.
gorgeous color combos~
The perfect clear blue sky :)
Gorgeous! Those are my favorite colors together.
Re your question: Yes, the post offices were not part of any embassy. BTW, remember that Jerusalem did not, and does not, have any embassies because no country wants to recognize her as our capital. So Jerusalem has only consulates. The embassies are over in Tel Aviv.
thank you all for stopping by.
the little decorative items at the end of the roofline serve to keep huge sheets of ice from falling below; the technical term escapes me at the moment.
hard to believe this was no where near the beach or water.
thanks all for stopping by.
