How colourful are all those windows and doors! I love it.Here in mu country all frontdoors are about the same, all of them brown.
Thanks for your visit and comment.
Have a wonderful week.
Excellent photos. I love the colours of these windows.
You have a creative eye, Erin. These are all so wonderful.
The differently colored shutters remind me of eyelashes. Accentuating the windows, they give them their own uniqueness.
I also admire the cleverly placed flower pot and candle holders(?).
Wow! So much to see when you turn your chin to the sky!

I'm not sure which I like most: all the beautiful old windows and shutters, or the SUNSHINE making them look so warm and lovely!
What a wonderful selection, I loved it!
Lots of different windows and very colorful.
Beautiful windows, I love them all!
You're building details are always so cheerful and lovely! You make me want to visit the big cities again!
Erin: Lovely captures looking into the buildings.
Wonderful selection of windows with personal touches. Beautiful in their warm colours in that great Italian light.
I love windows and this collection of different ones is really beautiful.
Beautiful colors. I have once featured just windows series. I love them. I have something similar as an entry today too.
Thanks for letting me enjoy the windows and let my eyes wander around the building, too. Gorgeous.
So very colorful and beautiful! Just terrific photos! Makes our neighborhood look pretty pale and lifeless! Love them all! Thanks for sharing!

I love the windows, they are all so different.
That is awesome to see the assorted windows and architecture styles of the buildings... a very nice treat.
I'm such a sucker for lovely doors and windows - I can't help myself!
What fantastic windows and so well photographed.
Fabulous shots! I just LOVE window photographs! =)

My world is here
What a brilliant selection of windows and shutters. Funny but this is something you just wouldn't normally look at in this light. Thanks for sharing your world with us.
Erin, these are all awesome. I love windows and doors. These Italian windows are so bright and alive. Love seeing the moon reflected in the first shot. Thanks for sharing these wonderful captures.
Ooh, the shades of blue in and around all the windows is stunning... always been a big lover of that turquoise color in the first photo. Great clarity in your photos, Erin!

Love these piccies, but especially the window with the little terracotta pots.
Incredible photos. Little bits of blue everywhere I looked. I loved them.
I like today's window theme.
Wonderful series of photos. There is something about windows thats very intriging. These are especially colorful. Thanks for sharing. Your blog is full of beautiful pictures, I enjoyed browsing.
Great shots of the windows, especially since you caught the blue sky reflections!
What a variety, but all serve the same purpose.
Is this the old parts of the city? These are beautiful shot & interesting:)
PS: Thanks for visiting my blog.
Wow very beautiful. Yours is the second blog I saw with beautiful windows. I like taking photos of windows and doors too, I find them very unique and their different designs interest me.
cool windows..it seems you have a lot of collections of it..one thing i noticed, design are the same (although different colors)
All different, each beautiful. Each says in a different tone HOME!
The cows come home on thisandthat)
first two shots are from assisi: buildings over 100 years old and i would venture to say the first building is 100 years old + and notice the old candle posts attached to the building, also note that the one building has been plastered over...and probably would look the similar to first if not plastered.
the third from orvieto-building probably older than 75 years;
the fourth from the piazza navona in rome and it is an old building as well, most likely in the 100+ group; and the last from the trastevere area in rome near the flea market and it is probably 50+ as well.
most buildings in city centers are aged and some over 100 years of age. the exteriors are often prettied up with new stucco and trims. restoration is the direction they go as replacing with new would be out of character in historic areas.
all taken in february this year
I'm always fascinated with windows (and doors) and your captures are fantastic.
Beautiful collection of window shots!
What a nice selection of windows !
Ive always been fascinated by doors and windows..they are so colourful and charming..
A wonderful shutter retrospective! So colorful and ornate - the Madonna painting on the building was beautiful as well.
Lovely collection of windows open to the world aoutside. They are really pretty and so wonderfully captured too. This is a great idea for a MWT post.
Window - an eye to the world! Beautiful windows, thank you for sharing and thanks for your visit at my blog!
Those are some beautiful windows, and some wonderful colors surrounding them!
What a great series of windows. I like the last one best.
Lovely windows. I, too, find them fascinating.
That must be a fun flower "bench" with those 3 little cute pots hanging from the wall.
Your photos make me want pizza! (I think it's the effect of being too deprived of Western foods!) One of my students told me snake is delicious, but I can't imagine it tasting anything other than rubber.
Very nice captures of different windows.

Gorgeous! I believe my favorite is the shot with the little clump of clothes hanging out the window. Or maybe it's the window reflecting the angles just so, it appears to be a minimal abstract painting. Or maybe it's the Madonna...you get the picture. Love these. I've yet to go to Italy and you are not squelching my desire to do so. Not one bit.
I walked over from David's.
Excellent photos. Imagine all the faces that have looked through them.

Wow! You should check out Mary the Teach's new meme - Window Views. these would be perfect for it.
Beautiful windows! I really enjoyed these and congrats on being mentioned in POTD...
Vivid colors!
The first one is my favorite! Congrats on Post of the Day mention from David at authorblog. That's how I came by and I'm glad I did.
Love your window shots. I think the 3rd one is my favorite. If eyes are the windows to the souls... I wonder what windows are the windows to.
