Walking along the beachwalk in ANZIO this past February I came on this lady throwing breadcrumbs to the seagulls. You can see her legs on the left of the photograph behind the trash bin. And, the gulls were swarming about. I took several shots before I captured this one...gulls are not the easiest thing to capture when they are dive bombing bread...
Please stop by and visit the MY WORLD MEME hosted by the fab team of Klaus | Sandy | Ivar | Wren | Fishing Guy| Louise. We had over 100 visitors last weekthis shot as the gulls look like they are following the men home from work on the pathway.

Isn't it funny that you can be home for just a little while and then want to go on another trip again? I've really enjoyed your pictures of Italy. My daughter just got back from two weeks there and loved it.
Uh oh, hey, did you know you have a sea gull on your back, Mister?
At first I thought the gulls were chasing the two guys walking, thinking they must be fisherman, but not dressed right. Great capture.
Well that's an interesting photo. Very clever to take the seagulls and the legs of the bread throwing lady! Thanks for your visit and nice comment.
I love this shot. You did a great job of capturing the seagulls and it looks like a procession of people and birds.
What a fabulous shot and very clever composition, you do get to see it all from the feeder's legs to the feeding gulls! You don't want to get in between a seagull and food! I found that out here in Seattle at the beach! Great post!
Have a lovely week, Erin!
Great shots, they look like they are just heading down the street like people, only flying.
Such a very colourful shot. Seagulls squabbling over food certainly are hard to catch.
Interesting shot and great capture of the gulls.
That is an amazing shot, Erin! I also thought the sea gulls were chasing the men :)
I read "bird lady" and was looking for the Mary Poppins variety. She is a svelte one! Those birds are lovely.
Wow! Fabulous shots of the gulls!
If this was my home I'd never go traveling. Gorgeous.
Wow what a cool photo, I love it.
Have a fantastic week

It's always a treat to see your wonderful pictures.
Erin, What a great shot with an interesting back story. Looks like a beautiful place to walk. (I love it that the lady has heels on to feed the gulls!)
The seagulls are stalking the man, so we thought..lovely picture.
"Hand over the bread and no one will get hurt!"
Good shot chance.
I had a similar event. See on my blog.
At first glance I thought they were following the men :).
Beautiful capture
Amazing pictures, so bright, sunny and warm. Thank you for your visit and greetings from Croatia.
It isn’t easy to take such photo at all. I’ve already tried but in vain. This photo is outstanding!
Yes, it took patience to capture the seagulls just right - wonderful photo.
Fantastic photo.
Hi Erin. Funny photo.
Erin: Very nice capture for sure. what a great place.
You always the most vivid and candid photographs. I loved this one with seagulls.
What a lovely photo. The gulls are wonderful and the colors of the buildings! Wonderful! (I love gulls) Thanks so much!
Great capture Erin, I wonder if those men were even aware of the low flying birds behind them!
Gulls are tricky little blighters to photograph, well done! I love your photo effects too.
I wonderful that you captured that moment! What an amazing photo!

This photo looks great ! Seagulls in action. Nice effect and the photo looks alive.
Lovely shot. I did that too when I was visiting Perth, Australia. Amazed by the huge number of seagulls, we feed them with bread leftover from our breakfast in the hotel.
Love the seagulls flying over their shoulders.
That is a wonderful action shot. Well done.
wow! an amazing image!
patience rewarded!
The gulls know a meal when they see it! Nicely captured.
Thanks for your comment :)
I have a Canon G9 and no special linse. I like this camera because I can bring it easily with me and it gives good photos :)
I really like this photo. Even though I live by the coast, I haven't ever captured anything like this. I remember a few years back when visiting Tintagel in Cornwall, the seagulls did the very same to me, whilst I was sitting on a rock attempting to eat a huge Cornish pasty! x
