SKYWATCH FRIDAY-

I just love the Virginia sky. The clouds are awesome. One of my few joys since moving East is the beautiful skies and countryside. Please visit Skywatch Friday for more fabulous photographs from throughout the world.

Let Us Remember as We Vote...

We believe...that faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers, is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation.
Took this picture outside the social hall where I recently attended a baby shower. Did not realize how great the shot was until I was going through my photos at home. It actually is a very mystical depiction. I had saved it to post for election day as sort of a election-neutral comment but, one that expresses my faith as well and my belief in our Nation.

Went to one of my favorite spots this morning before heading off to work and hoping to capture a little morning mist. As you can see there is some in the background; I didn't want to walk through the field and get dirty so this is what I captured from the fence line... I just love the little pops of Fall color and the shot in general.

Cherish all your happy moments: they make a fine cushion for old age-
Christopher Morley (1890 - 1957)

Saw this child's rocking chair and skates laying over the back of it at the Mountain Magic gathering in Buchanan last weekend. The quote seemed so appropriate as some of the happiest moments in life are from our childhood. Lately... I find myself looking back often on my childhood and the happy times shared with my parents including learning to skate with skates much like those on the rocker.

I dreamed...

I dreamed a thousand new paths. I woke and walked my old one-Chinese Proverb

Isn't this proverb right on track? Try as we might we seem to gravitate to the same and the familar and seldom are we comfortable enough or perhaps willing to take a different direction or path. I find myself too comfortable with doing the usual. I think I will try a different path this week.

The goal of life...

The goal of life is living in agreement with nature-Zeno(335 BC - 264 BC)
